Hildene – The Lincoln Family Home

Abraham Lincoln is one of the most influential and well-regarded presidents in our country's history. President Lincoln and wife Mary Todd Lincoln had four children, only one of whom, Robert, survived to adulthood. Son Robert and his wife Mary built Hildene in Manchester as a summer home at the start of the 20th century; three generations of Lincoln's lived at Hildene over the course of 70 years. The Lincoln Family Home, the 412 acres of diverse landscape that it sits on, 12 miles of walking/ski trails, a restored Pullman rail car "Sunbeam", and operating public agricultural operations, are open for touring.
